Code Enforcement

The Code Enforcement Officer's  responsibilities include the administration and enforcement of the State of West Virginia Building Codes and its referenced standards, along with the enforcement of the Town of Nutter Fort Building Codes.

The Town of Nutter Fort has adopted the State of West Virginia Building Code.  

Major Enforcement Responsibilities

• New commercial and residential construction (plan reviews and inspections)
• Modifications, renovations, and repairs to existing buildings
• Residential and commercial demolition - including asbestos surveys and reports
• Complaints and Investigations
• Certificates of Use & Occupancy
